- bacteria: Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis


- can survive in macrophages


- results in formation of granulomas

granuloma

tumor like mass or nodule of granulation tissue


- consists of collection of macrophages and lymphocytes


- due to chronic inflammation associated with infection or invasion of FB
