Explain the story of Romulus & Remus (a.k.a How Rome came to be) |
Romulus & Remus were two brothers who were raised by wolves. When they were older, they were going to find land that they were going to take over. They then started to fight over the name they were going to chose (Now Rome). Because they were fighting, Romulus thought if he killed Remus, he would get to chose the name & location. He then killed Remus with a spade (to the head). After his plan was a success, Romulus founded a city and named it Rome (Still has the same name). |

Explain why did the Romans overthrow their Etruscan kings? |
The Romans wanted self-rule (power to themselves) so they overthrew their Eruscan kings and formed a republic (a state where people can chose who they want for king/president). |
