Nucleolus
Ribosomes are made there and its found inside the nucleus
Cell Wall
A rigid layer of nonliving material that surrounds the cells of plants. It offers support and protection. It's made of a tough, yet flexible material called cellulose.
Chloroplast
Found only in plant cells. Captures energy from sunlight and uses it to produce food for the cell (photosynthesis). Gives plants their green color because it contains chlorophyll.
Nucleus
Cell's control center. It directs all of the cell's actions. It also has a membrane. Contains the chromosomes.
*Brain
Lysosomes
Small round structures that contain chemicals/enzymes that break down large food particles into smaller ones. Its also breaks down old cell parts.
*Clean-up Crew/Waste Management
Mitochondria
Rod-shaped, produces most of the energy through a process called cellular respiration that the cell needs to carry out it's functions.
*Powerhouse

Chromatin
Thin strands of dna found in the nucleus.
Ribosomes
They make proteins for the cell which is used for growth and repair. They are small and can be found attached to the endoplasmic reticulum or free floating in the cytoplasm.
*Factories
Cell Membrane
It controls what comes in/out of a cell. Offers protection to all cells.
*Gatekeeper
Golgi bodies
Receives proteins and other material from the endoplasmic reticulum, packages them, and sends them to other parts of the cell.
*Mailroom or UPS or FedEx
Organelles
Tiny cell structures, each having different functions. Means "little organs".
Cytoplasm
The jelly-like material that all organelles are floating (suspended) in.

Endoplasmic Reticulum
Maze of passageways, carries proteins and other materials from one part of the cell to another.
*Highway
Vacuoles
Stores food, water, waste products, or other materials. Plant cells have one large one, and animal cells have lots of small ones.
*Storage

Chromosomes

Condensed form of chromatin, found in the nucleus and contains your DNA.
