Describe the Backup mode for the ACP

1- The ACP in B/U will be connected directly to the VHF comm and nav in the onside MRC, aswell as the XPDR if on the MRC installed.


2- Hot mic is no longer available, only cold mic direct ICS to the cross-side ACP.


The volume knob is for the ACP in total.


3- no Aural Warning is available


(Cross-side ACP will power the ACP if the failure is due to powerloss)

Describe the outcome of a MAU failure regarding Communication.

If a MAU fails, the onside MCDU cannot communicate to the NIM anymore. In BACK UP, selection can be made on the onside MRC COMM NAV and XPNDR.


The onside MCDU automatically goes into BACK UP mode


Since no other systems have failed, the MCDU on the operating side has full acces.


When MAU2 fails, the XPDR Alt-off is displayed falsly
