What are T-cell antigen receptors?

T cell antigen receptors present in lymphocytes found in the plasma membranes of T cells – made of two polypeptides chains – that binds to antigen-MHC complex.

What are different antigen presenting cells?

Antigen presenting cells can engulf antigens and then present their fragments to immune cells

What are opsonins?

Opsonins are complements and antibodies that cover surface pathogens, making it easy for phagocytes to bind and engulf pathogens

What are cytokines?

Cytokines are chemical messengers produced by cells of the immune system

What are naïve lymphocytes?

Lymphocytes that have never been exposed to antigens

What is margination with reference to white blood cells?

Margination refers to clinging of white blood cells tightly to endothelial cells.

What is diapedesis?

Diapedesis refers to the squeezing of white blood cells between endothelial wall of capillaries

What are antigens?

Antigens are substances that can mobilize specific immunity.

What is a hapten?

A hapten is a small simple foreign molecule that can cannot mobilize immune system or produce antibody

What is somatic recombination?

Somatic recombination is referred to reshuffling of gene segments to combine them in different combinations to produce different gene products.

What is a clone?

Army of same ancestral cells produced by cell division
