XII. The ideal factors for cardiovascular are as followed: Optimal cholesterol, normal blood pressure, not having diabetes, having a lean body mass index, not being a smoker, physical activity, and a healthy diet. Out of the seven I have a rough average of five, I have normal blood pressure, no diabetes, a lean body mass, I do not smoke, and I try to have as much physical activity as possible. Realistically speaking, I try to maintain a healthy diet, but, I don’t eat as healthy as I should, and I have a sweet tooth. More importantly due to genetics I have high cholesterol, I have lowered it throughout the years by eating better and exercising. The first time I had my cholesterol read to myself when I was sixteen, my range was at 290 (the average is below 200). This year during my checkup it ranged at 222. However, due to those factors I slightly fall under the 99% range with many others. If it were not for my cholesterol and occasional bad eating styles, I may have fallen into the 1%, which hopefully I can fall into sooner than later.

Although many people will have the excuses of not being able to afford health care, perhaps big companies and employers should set aside a minimum budget for an average of employees who can’t afford health care so that perhaps, with the annual budget saved up, a health care provider can come to the workplace once a year, and provide screenings for employees. Another way employers may help, is just as the idea of 401K, for those not interested in paying for health care, if employers can convince the employee to take a small portion even 1% of their income aside into a healthcare saving, to at least obtain one annual physical, that is a step forward into people being more conscious of their health, and what they can do to improve
