Why I think the book is better than the movie? This assignment is in “Where The Red Fern Grows” by Wilson Rawls. I will be proving to you how the book is better than the movie in the following sentence and throughout the book. In this essay I will show the character, plot and setting. To prove to you why the book is better than the movie. Once and for all, a good time.

The characters in the book are shown more emotion and growth throughout “Where The Red Fern Grows”. I think they have a good pace and are an important part of the book. The character development is amazing to see over time showing how in my citation “Papa I said I don’t want an old collie dog”. I want a hounds-coon and I want two of them”. But later in the book, you can see how he is more mature and responsible and willing to work for his dogs when his parents can’t help him. Citation “How long have you been saving this?" he asked. "A long time, Grandpa," I said. How long will it take? he asked. I told him, "Two years." His mouth flew open and in a loud voice he said, "Two years!" I nodded my head”. This shows how Billy is growing as a character and becoming more responsible for doing things on his own.
