Being stuck in the snow for 72 days without any food or supplies sounds impossible to live through. On October 12th, 1972, an airplane from Uruguay set off to Santiago, Chile with 45 people in total. The plane went through a terrible crash and only left 33 of the 45 passengers to try and survive the harsh conditions of the Andes mountains. This included a law student by the name of Numa Turcatti. Numa Turcatti's story has profoundly influenced and motivated the people around him and the world with his perseverance and consideration. Numa had a persistent mindset after the crash, which persevered through the tough challenges he faced while in the Andes mountains. His actions made other passengers believe that they had a chance of getting through their tough times. He never gave up and went up the mountain countless times, even with a leg infection.
