In life, having a home is significantly important. It's not just about having a place to sleep, it's about feeling safe and like we belong somewhere. Home is where we make memories and go through all kinds of emotions, good and bad. Without a home, it feels like a part of us is missing. In the book The Leavers by Lisa Ko, the idea of a home is a big deal. The story is about a boy named Deming Guo. One day, his mom, Polly, disappears and Deming has to go live with a different family. He's taken everything he knows, and it's really tough for him. He misses his old life and struggles to figure out who he is without his family and home.
