In the article,”The Stripes will Survive” by Jacqueline Adams, it tells of a zoo that wanted to keep Siberian tigers safe. So they rescued the tigers and put on an SSP to keep their species alive. “The Zoos Go Wild from No More Dodos” is a moving article written by N.N and T.N, that tells of a gorilla that started off small and with the help of other people and the enclosure they made him it grew to be a giant and happy silverback gorilla. “Our Beautiful Macaws and Why They Need Enrichment” is an uplifting short story written by Alicia Powers that explains that macaws are intelligent and need attention. In the second article, zoos protect their animals by building Willie the gorilla a new and improved habitat/enclosure. The article states,”In no time, Willie acted like a different animal. He was no longer bored or easily angered.” This evidence shows that the zoo wanted the best for Willie. It also shows that the new enclosure was helpful to Willie's mental health. In the final article, the zoos care for their animals by making a new contraption to keep them entertained. The article states,” The team recycled some old cargo netting and stretched it out between some perching to support the brand new bird baths. Just like the native songbirds that like to bathe in the little puddles in your yard, Macaws and other parrots love to keep themselves clean too.” The evidence shows that the zoo keepers had enough love and imagination to help the Macaws be happy again. In conclusion, the zoos had enough passion for the animals to go out of their way and make them happier.
