Social media has helped benefit, not only our society, but societies around the world. The benefits effect many aspects integrated into our daily lives, too. Thanks to social media, people in almost every corner of our globe can stay in touch, sharing photos, writing back and forth through email, or even by using video chat mediums like Skype or Oovoo. People can exchange ideas through the very popular site, Pinterest, where new updates have allowed people to create multiple boards for whatever the occasion. Social media has affected the business world tremendously. People in major corporations that tend to travel a lot, don’t have to make the trip as often when video chat is now a possibility. Another business related aspect to look at is marketing. Because before, marketing methods involved such things as print advertisements, phone calling, and other older forms, social networking was seen as a huge opportunity. Social networking sites are now used by businesses to replace the traditional marketing techniques with easier and more effective techniques. In turn, the social media sites that allows business to market their product receive financial incentive to keep the relationship going. And with a Westernized communication style, egalitarianism, business advertisements can afford, not only afford to go a laid back route, but can increase the number of advertisements, and add more information and customer feedback in
