Sometimes, we are scared to do things or just don’t like the essence of the object. Once we try or do it, we realize it’s not as bad as we think. In “Learning to Skate,” Linda’s mother made her go ice skating even though she didn’t want to and she liked it. In “Brown Onions”, Erika’s father loved onions, she despised onions so she made a deal with her father and tried the onions. Erika loved them all.
