For this paper I decided to go a different route and compare two bands that I recently discussed and debated with my father about, Nirvana and Motley Creu. This comparison is driven by how my father is trying to school me on the type of music he likes. These two bands are considered “grunge” and “glam metal”. Personally, I believe Nirvana and Motley Creu are very different. Though they both fall under the rock category of music, as we know all rock music is not made the same. They never led the charge into a separate genre like Nirvana, they simply fell in line with the other ‘Hair Metal” bands. Nirvana gambled to be different and do things their own way when it came to their music, which is ultimately why I think they had the success they
