The evaluation of ceramic waste and hypo sludge for replacement of cement material begins with the concrete testing. Concrete contains cement, water, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and grit With the control concrete, i.e 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% ,20% of the cement is replaced with ceramic waste & hypo sludge the data compared with data from a standard concrete without ceramic waste and HYPOSLUDGE individually. Three cube samples were cast on the mould of size 150 X 150 X 150 mm and 300 X 150 mm cylinders for each concrete mix. After about 24h the specimens were de-moulded and water curing was continued till the respective specimens were tested after 7, 14, 28 & 90 days for compressive strength test Along with the split tensile strengths for 7,14,28 & 90 days on Universal Testing Machine (UTM). …show more content…
3.1.4 HypoSludge The production of Hypo sludge is estimated about 35% of the daily production in the paper industries. These wastes are used as an ingredient of cement manufacturing in wet process. But present days we use dry process for manufacturing of cement so hypo sludge are not useful for manufacturing of cement. The paper industries are dumped these waste nearby any pit or waste land. It leads to effects the environmental issues. Regarding these situations hypo sludge are used as a partial replacement of cement to increases the durability, setting time and strength of the concrete. In hypo sludge the chemical components present like Silicon Dioxide (SiO2), Calcium Oxide (CaO), Magnesium Oxide (MgO), etc...These are helps to increases the physical and chemical properties of concrete. Physical properties of Hypo Sludge
Hypo sludge waste material is soft. From paper industries we get hypo sludge in wet stage. These wet sample are drying for 24 hours, after that these powder sample are pass into the required sieve.
