During World War II, the lives of women began to change as it gave them many opportunities to do things they had never done before, such as working in the air force, getting equal pay, and so on. She attended the first Labor Women's Conference. World War II brought a lot of women a sense of equality when it came to pay, furthermore the right to be able to do men’s jobs. During the war, women got a lot more opportunities; lack of men to do the jobs meant that women had the opportunity to join the work force in jobs that had traditionally been “men’s” jobs. This gave women the opportunity to do jobs such as construction, manufacturing, transportation and agriculture which would have not happened if World War Two hadn’t happened and its not that all women wanted to join the work force or do these kinds of jobs just the majority. more than six million women took wartime jobs in factories, three million volunteered
