Both “The Revelance of Farenheit 451” and “Why Farenheit 451 Is the Book for Our Social Media Age” support the claim that Farenheit 451 is a book that is growing all the more relevant with the times and that it should be continued to be looked back on by the use of direct references in the text, the use of diction, and by how the proposed ideas are presented.

In “The Revelance of Farenheit 451”, Ramin Bahrani, the writer of the article, talks about how he works with Ray Bradbury’s work and tries to reimagine it. He brings a lot of ideas to the table, bringing in information that is not given in the book, which can give us insight into Bradbury’s thoughts. Being a strong start, Anirudh continues by supporting her opener with the quote: “Books cut shorter. Condensation. The. Digests. Tabloids. The. Everything boils down to the gag, the snap ending. Classics cut to fit fifteen-minute radio shows, then cut again to fill a two-minute book column, winding up at last as a ten- or twelve-line dictionary resume”. This quote is very important to Anirudh’s case, since it gives the notion that what Beatty was speaking about is what is beginning to happen in today’s society. With the writer’s argument being that the book should remain prevalent, this quote is also important in that regard, since it can be almost a warning as to a pattern that the world should wake up to in order to avoid the outcome of what Farenheit 451 was proposed to be. Something else that is important to note is his relation to real world history, such as the book burnings done by people such as the Nazis. It shows what kind of power these actions can hold behind them when society is already blind to the notion of it being a possibility.
