I firmly believe my blend of creativity, determination, and leadership qualities make me an incredibly deserving candidate for this scholarship. This past summer, I was one of six students who represented the Rotary at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) at Stockton University. I engaged in a transformative four-day experience and it granted me the opportunity to participate in leadership activities with students across various South Jersey high schools. Throughout my time at RYLA, one major takeaway for me was the importance of using everyone’s strengths as a team. As a leader, identifying and utilizing each team member’s strengths becomes a pivotal strategy during several activities. This experience emphasized that effective collaboration involves acknowledging and making the most of diverse strengths.
