My father passed when I was fifteen, and my mother, soon after, never paid me any attention. In my home, I felt abandoned. Not to mention, I had to play the second mother to my little brother. There was no love or support. My mother completely left me hanging, forced to search for love in other places. Nevertheless, as for Stewart, she didn't give up. At the time of her youth, she attended Sabbath school which resulted in a lifelong affinity for religious work; henceforth, she preached the word of God, wholeheartedly. She used her platform to expose racial injustice and sexism by highlighting the differences between the messages of peace and unity, preached from the pulpits of white churches versus slavery. Sadly, because of her education and evangelistic ministry; of course, being African-American, many opposed her. Also, often very poor, she had to lean on the kindness of strangers, friends, and religious leaders to sustain her. Similar to Stewart, recently, I completed my evangelism training. Now, I'm certified to teach, train, and preach the Word of God. But, then, it wasn't easy, I wanted to quit. Between school and work, it was difficult to take those classes. I struggled, but I didn't give up. I remained dependant on God and the Holy
