Who was the Russian Civil War fought against?

What was the leader of Russia during the Russian Civil War and what did the soviets do to his family?
Nicholas II, Soviets murdered him and his family
What were the reasons that Lenin/Bolsheviks/Red Army triumph?
1. Red army because well disciplined

What was the New Economic Policy and how did it affect the country?
Proposed by Lenin, it was created to prevent Russian ecoomy from collapsing, created a mix of capitalism and communism (private ownership and public ownership). It kept the Russian economy alive.
What was the Five Year Plan and what were its effects?
Designed to help development of Soviet Union's Economy by increasing output of steel, coal, and electricity. Resulted in better economy but limited consumer goods so caused people to face shortages of housing, food, clothing, etc.
How did Stalin's economic policies change from Lenin's?
Lenin was focused on the spread of communism while Stalin wanted Russia's industrialization and took it to total command
What were the four classes of the Soviet people and why was each discontent?
1. Peasants (80%) - lack of land/food
2. Urban Dwellers (15%) - low wages/poor working conditions
3. Middle Class Professionals (3%) - wanted equality to upper class
4. Aristocrats (2%)
What was the differences between Trotsky and Stalin's beliefs?
-Trotsky was trusted by Lenin more and was not as brutal or radical
-Stalin was extremely brutal and forceful
