Leaf roll virus what is it? |
Leaf roll virus is spread by the mealy bug and infected cuttings. The virus causes considerable decrease in yield, delay in ripening, and reduces the quality of the wine. |

Coulure, the non-pollination of some of the blossoms causing the grapes either to fall off or never to develop, is caused by cold or wet weather at flowering time. |

Odium tuckerii or powdery mildew originated in the USA. It attacks the green parts of the vine and develops white spores which have a powdery appearance. It will cause grapes to split open and fall off while others do not ripen which severely decreases the yield. |
