- tender lymphadonopathy that might be fluctuant and will drain if not aspirated

- hematogenous spread of bug
- liver, spleen involvement
- multiple, non-fluctuant, non-tender skin nodules
- bascillary angiomatosis
- endocarditis possible
Diagnosis of bartonella
- serology (acute and convalescent)

Tx of cat scratch
- not always needed, if needed use azithromycin

(or quinolones, trimethoprim/sulfa, doxycycline)
