If the peak of one wave meets the trough of another wave, what happens?

The two waves cancel out. The particles where they meet would rise up towards the peak but also drop down towards the trough, so they end up in the middle on their centre point.

Interference.

If a peak of one wave meets a peak of another wave, what happens?

The two waves and up. The particles where they meet would rise up towards the peak of the first wave and rise again towards the peak of the second wave, so they would end up twice as far from their centre point.

Multiply.

If you have two speakers playing the same note at the same volume, what happens?

The sound waves from the two speakers interfere with each other when they cross. Where a peak meets a trough there will be silence, and where two peaks meet it will be twice as loud.
