How can you determine if an object is in motion?

When an object changes position from a reference point.

What is the difference between distance and displacement?

Distance - how far an object has traveled.




Displacement - the distance and direction of the object's change in position.

What is the difference between speed and velocity?

Speed - the distance an object travels per unit of time. speed = distance/time (S=d/t)




Velocity - speed in a given direction.
