Clinical Signs: NSAIDS -Severe GI ulceration and acute renal failure Anti-depressents, amphetamines, and sleep aids - sedation, agitation, tachycardia, hypertension, tremors, seizures, hyperthermia Amphetamines - hepatotoxicity, methoglobinemia Treatment: each has a different mechanism of action and toxic range. Clinical Signs: bromethalin - ataxia, decreased mentation, seizures, tremors phosphide: GI, neurologic, and pulmonary signs cholecalciferols: (most deadly) severe hypercalcemia with mineralization of kidneys and soft tissues, renal failure Treatment: often mistreated with vitamin K1 therapy (should be used for warfarin) |
