Connective
Muscle
Nervous
Epithealial
Covers the surface of the body, organs, cavities, and tubes.
What is the main function of the epithealial tissue?
Protect.
How thick is the epithealial tissue?
one cell thick
Cells can also be described by shape. What are they?
Squamous(flattened), cubiodal (square/ cubed), Columnar (tall).
Transitional Epithealium
Specialized type of stratefied epithealium lining in areas of the urinary tract and reproductive tract.
What are the many kinds of connective tissue?

HINT: 7 types
Blood
Hemopoietic tissue
Loose connective tissue
Adipose tissue
Dense connective tissue
Cartilage
Bone
Blood
Specialized conective tissue
Hemopoietic tissue
Jelly like; forms bone marrow. Responsible for the formation of RBC's.
Loose (areolar) tissue
Contains collagen and elastic fibers for stretching. (eg sub-q layers)
Adipose (fatty) tissue
Fat filled cells that serve for an energy reserve, insulation, and protection.
Dense (fiberous) tissue
Densly packed collagen fibers in either irregular or paraelle arrangment. (ex. Joint capsules or Tendons and ligaments)
Cartilage
Resiliant, ridgid and flexible. (joints, nose, trachea)
Bone
Rigid framework forming a system of levers for locomotion. capable of remodling and repairing.
Muscle Tissue
Responsible for organized movement.
What are the three types of muscle tissue?
Cardiac, Smooth, Skeletal.
Nervous tisssue
Forms central and peripheral nervous system.
