Thrombosis

It is the process of formation of solid mass in the circulating blood from the constituents of flowing blood.

The solid mass formed is called thrombus and it consists of aggregate of coagulated blood containing platelets, fibrin, and entrapped cellular elements of blood

Hemostasis

Hemostasis is a precisely orchestrated process involving platelets, clotting factors and endothelium that occurs at the site of injury culminating in the formation of blood clot which serves to prevent or limit the extent of bleeding.

Hyperemia

It is defined as an active process by which arteriolar dilation leads to increased blood flow to a tissue or organ

Congestion

It is a passive process which happens due to reduced venous outflow of blood from a tissue or organ.

Hemostasis

It is a precisely orchestrated process involving clotting factors, platelets and endothelium that occurs at the site of vascular injury culminating in the formation of clot which serves to prevent or limit the extent of bleeding.

Edema

An abnormal accumulation of fluid in the interstitial space within tissues is called edema.

Shock

Shock is a state in which diminished cardiac output or reduced effective blood volume impairs tissue perfusion and leads to cellular hypoxia.
