- Organisations where its own members may prefer to think of themselves as 'freedom fighters'.




- Organisations that use terror to make a stand against governments and civilians such as ; bombings, kidnappings, assassination and hostage-taking.




- Designed to influence political behaviour by extra normal means using threat or violence.

- Terrorism has an effect only if it is broadcasted widely within mass media which out of the normal acts are.




- They use violence to produce various psychological effects.




- They demonstrate their movements strength by gaining public sympathy and fear/chaos.




- Publicise all of their actions so that it is broadcasted on media platforms.

- 9/11 lead the world into an extreme panic with it all publicised throughout media platforms. After the huge global impact, Al-Quaida and its associated organisations carried out similar actions in Bali, Madrid, Istanbul and Mumbai. Was all carefully planned acts of political communication.

- London bombings July 2005 was attributed through their perpetrators to the Labour governments participation with America.
