Sochi - pledged a zero waste and carbon neutral event--however a Russian company dumped construction waste into illegal landfill. Construction along river destroyed the ecology and hydrology Rio - promised to clean up and regenerate waterways, only 1 water plant was built. Promised to plant 24mill seedlings to offset environmental impact, did not happen. Trees were dying from lack of care |
