Apprehension test for ant. shoulder dislocation
-Done in supine, arm abducted to 90*, PT passivily moves arm into LR.
-Positve test: Apprehesive facial expression of the patient or increased pain when reaching end point of ROM

Done in supine, shoulder flexed at 90* and medial rotated, PT applies post. force toward table.
-Positive test: Apprehensive or grimace facial expression on patient's face
Speed's Test
-Bicipital Tendonitis
-Done in sitting or standing, shoulder flexed at 90* and fully supinated, PT applies pressure on bicipital groove and resists shoulder flexion by patient.
-Positive test: Increased pain or tenderness on groove
Yergason's Test
-Bicipital Tendonitis
-Done in sitting or standing, elbow flexed at 90*and pronated resting against body, PT applies pressure over bicipital groove and during active supination and LR.
-Positive test: Increased pain or tenderness over bicipital groove
Drop Arm Test
-RTC Tear
-Done in sitting or standing, arms abducted 90* and slowly lowers them down to sides
-Positive test: Pt failing to slowly lower arm to side or increased severe pain
Hawkins-Kennedy Impingement Test
-Shoulder impingement involving supraspinatus tendon
-Done in standing or sitting, PT flexes arm to 90* and LR.
-Positive test: Increased pain
Supraspinatus Test
-Tear or impingment of supraspinatus tendon or nerve
-Done in sitting or standing, arms abducted 90* hor. adducted 30* and fully MR with thumbs toward the ground. PT applies resistance against active shoulder ABD
-Positive test: Weakness or pain
Adson Maneuver
-Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
-Done ins standing or sitting, PT monitors radial pusle rate while pt ext and LR head toward test shoulder, than PT ext and LR test arm.
-Positive test: Dimished or absent radial pulse rate
Roos Test
-Thoracic Outlet Sydrome
-Done in sitting or standing, arms abducted 90* elbow flexed 90* and LR. Pt open and closes hands for 3 mins.
-Positive test: Inability to maintai position, wekaness of arms, sensory loss, or ischemic pain.
Glenoid Labrum Tear Test
-Glenoid Labrum Tear
-Done in supine, PT places one had on post. humeral head and other stabilized proximal humerus and elbow. PT passivily abducts and LR arm and applies ant. force to humerus
-Positve test: Clunk or grinding sound
Varus Stress Test
-Lateral Collateral Ligament Sprain
-Done in sitting, elbow flexed 23-30* resting against body, PT hands on elbow and proximal wrist. PT applies varus force while palpating lateral elbow joint
-Positive Test: Increased laxity in the LCL when compared to contra., apprehension, or pain
Valgus Stress Test
-Medial Collateral Ligament Sprain
-Done in sitting, elbow flexed 20-30* and resting againts body. PT hands on elbow and proximal wrist. PT applies varus force while palpating medial elbow joint.
-Poisitive Test: Increased laxity in the MCL when compared to contra., apprehension or pain
