Describe a bed baths
Bed bath, is for patients who must remain in bed, but are able to bathe themselvs, nurse will gather supplies for patient and provide privacy
Describe a Help Bath
The nurse helps the patien with areas that are difficult to reach
Partial bath
Clean only necessary areas, peri area, under arms and breasts
Complete bed bath
Nurse will wash patient's entire body without help from the patient
Towel Bath
a variation of the bed bath, place a larde towel and a bath blanket in a plastic bag, saturate them with a comercially prepared solution, and water. Warm in microwave and use them to bathe patient. The solution dries quickly, so there is no need to dry patient
Bag bath
modification of the towel bath where you use 8 to 10 washcloths instead of a towel and bath blanket
Packaged bath
Commercially prepared wet wipes, used in the same way as a towel or bag bath
Therapeutic Bath
The physician may prescribe a therapeutic bath for certain conditions and may include Oatmeal, or coal tar bath for skin conditions
