5 S's

Shout, show, shove, shoot, smoke.

Shout:

Verbal warning to "halt" or in Arabic "qif"/"cough"

Show:

Show my weapon and demonstrate intent to use it.

Shove:

Physically restrain, block access, or detain.

Shoot:

Shoot to remove the threat or death/serious bodily injury or to protect designated property.

IF YOU MUST FIRE:

1) Fire only aimed shots. No warning shots!


2) Fire no more rounds than necessary.


3) Fire with due regard for the safety of innocent bystanders.


4) Take reasonable efforts to not destroy property.


Stop firing as soon as the situation permits.

Attack or other use of force against US Forces or use of force that directly precludes or impedes the mission/duties of US Forces.

Hostile Intent:

Threat of imminent use of force against US Forces or threat of force to preclude or impede the mission/duties of US Forces.

Hostile Forces: are there any in Qatar?

No forces have been declared hostile. In Qatar, host nation forces have primary security response.

Hostile Actors: how can you engage them?

You may engage persons who commit hostile acts or show hostile intent with the minimum force necessary to counter the hostile act or demonstrated hostile intent and to protect US Forces.
