Thank you, Arkhav. I’m here on Earth to report on amazing items such as this (holds up spoon). I think it’s used to comb the hair on our heads. *combs head slowly with spoon*. But enough of that, there’s more important matters on hand. Here we have resident “Earth Expert” “Robenjamin” to explain what seasons are. So… Earth Bystander Robenjamin, what in the name of Gleep are seasons?

Take a look the Earth’s moon. It rotates in place and revolves around the Earth, while being illuminated by the light of the sun. The humans on Earth see different parts of the moon’s illuminated surface due to this. They call these “phases”. There are eight main “phases” of the moon that the humans see from their Earth. These eight “phases” are: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, third quarter, and waning crescent.

Eclipses! There are two kinds of eclipses, Solar and Lunar.

*goes to model to explain* A solar eclipse occurs when the new moon passes between the Earth and the sun, blocking sunlight from the earth. Earthlings who are in the Moon’s Umbra experience a total solar eclipse. Earthlings who are in the moon’s penumbra experience a partial solar eclipse.

.

Back to you Arkav. ...Here I have found an Earthling to interview about their native customs.

Q - What do you think about aliens?

Q - Really? Why?

Q - uhh...

Well you’ve heard it here, viewers. Back to you, Arkhav.

.

*now explain the phases using the model*

...

A - I THINK ALL ALIENS SHOULD GO BACK TO THEIR FILTHY PLANETS A - BECAUSE THEY ARE STEALING OUR JOBS A- LETS MAKE EARTH GREAT AGAIN

.

Now, a lunar eclipse occurs when Earth blocks sunlight from reaching the moon. When the full moon is in earth’s umbra, the earthlings see a total lunar eclipse. When the full moon is in the penumbra or partially in the umbra, earthlings experience a partial lunar eclipse.
