Chloroplast:
Green cells in leaves that absorb light energy during photosynthesis.
Stomata:
guard cells a hole in the bottom of leaves that takes in carbon dioxide to help the plant make glucose (sugar). It also lets out extra water.
Photosynthesis:
when a plant uses water, minerals, carbon dioxide and sunlight to make its food (glucose)
Respiration:
photosynthesis makes the sugar, but respiration breaks it down to give energy to the plant.
Transpiration:
when a plant uses the stomata to get rid of any extra water not used in photosynthesis.
Tropism:
the way a plant behaves or responds to stimuli.
