What is circuit? |
A circuit is a complete path around which electricity can flow. |
What is circuit made of? |
Circuit is made of batteries, wires, light bulbs and switch. |
What is current electricity? |
The electricity in a circuit is called current electricity. |
Can current electricity flow through a closed circuit? |
Yes, current electricity can flow because there are no gap or break in a closed circuit and the path is complete. |
Can current electricity flow through open circuit? |
When the switch is open, the circuit is open. The the circuit is open, the path is not complete. |
What are insulators? |
They are materials that don't allow electricity to pass through them. |
Give some examples of electrical insulators. |
Wood, cloth, glass, air, plastic |
What are conductors? |
They are materials through which electricity flow easily. |
What can happen with too much electricity flow through a circuit? |
When too much electricity flows through a circuit, wires heat up and can cause a fire. |
What controls the current in a circuit? |
The switch control the current in a circuit. |
How many kind of circuits are there? |
There are two. Series and parallel. |
What is series circuit? |
In series circuit, two objects are connected in a single path and electricity flows only in one path. |
What is parallel circuit? |
In a parallel circuit two objects are connected in two paths? |
How is parallel circuit different from a series circuit? |
In a series circuit when one bulb is removed the other bulb doesn't receive current and it doesn't light, in parralel circuit if one bulb is removed the other ball remains lit. |
