Digestion
process of food being broken down into smaller particles

Musucular tube that extends from the back of your mouth to your stomach.
Sphincter
Allows food to enter stomach. Small flap that prevents water and food moving back up into hte esophagus once the food is in the stomach.
Enzymes
Special type of protien. Each type has special function. Enzymes break down proteins nto amino acids.
Stomach
Located in left side of body. Stores food, churns and mixes food, and digests proteins.
