Who were the Loyalists?
They supported Great Britain and King Geroge III.
Describe the French and Indian War.
The Indians and the French fought against the colonists. The dispute was over land called the Ohio River Valley.
What was the Proclamation of 1763?
A line drawn from New York to Georgia in 1763. The colonists had to stay east of the line and the Native Americans were to stay west of the line.
Who were the Patriots?
They supported the American cause for independence from Britain.
What did the Stamp Act tax?
The Stamp Act placed a tax on paper products.
What happened at the Boston Tea Party?
The Sons of Liberty dressed up as Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.

They were Britain's soldiers sent to America to calm the angry colonists.
