The reason for baptizing infants

They are born anew, given the presence of the divine life which comes to dwell in us. Original Sin is no more. We all need salvation from the moment we are born. To deny a baby baptism is to Deny them salvation. We moved from darkness into the freedom of God's children. The early church baptized infants. Jesus gave us the great mandate and told us to not just baptize adults, but everyone. Before we decide on God, God has decided on us. Baptism is a grace and undeserved a gift from God the father. Believing parents who want what is best for their child want baptism also, in which the child is free from the influence of Original Sin and the power of death. It is an injustice to deprive the child the baptism out of the mistaken liberality. One cannot deprive a child of love so that he can later decide on love for himself.

We need to know love and serve God on earth. But this is an impossible task for us. That is, we cannot reach the greatness of heaven unless God comes to our help with his grace. Grace is a supernatural gift from God given to us through Jesus Christ. Supernatural means far above our natural powers. It is even about the powers of gods greatest creatures, the mighty angels! It is called a free gift, because it is something we do not have the right to and something we cannot merit on our own. Sanctifying grace makes us holy and pleasing to God; it makes us his adopted children and temples of the Holy Spirit. It enables us to live in heaven. Sanctifying grace gives us a sharing in God's life. Without it we cannot live in heaven. Along with giving us a sharing in God's life, sanctifying grace gives us three supernatural virtues: faith, hope, and charity. We receive sanctifying grace in the seven sacraments of the church.
