How does the funding occur in PRIME? |
The states share of the Medi-Cal funding is furnished by Intergovernmental transfers (IGTs.) IGTs are transfers of public funds between government entities. SVMC transfers funds to the state for the purpose of accessing federal Medicaid matching funds. Once the Federal Government matches the funds via IGT to the state, the state then performs an IGT back to SVMC. |
