-kids lack CONSERVATION SKILLS Conservation: the amount of something remains the same dispite change in appearance Example- LIQUID TEST- having 2 same cups of water/pouring one of the cups in a larger bowl-child thinks she has more water than you EGOCENTRISM :: inability to take another person's point of view--- Example-- Parent asks child what does grandma want for her birthday and she thinks barbies-from her own point of view |
