Vector

Quantities that have both magnitude & direction ( position)

Scalar

Quantities that are just numbers without direction (temperature & distance)

Resultant vector

A vector that results from the sum of 2 other vectors; first vector tail to the last vector tip

Coordinate system

Used to describe motion that gives the zero point location of the variable being studied & the direction in which the values of the variable increase.

Motion diagram

Series of images showing the positions of a moving object taken at equal time intervals.

Time interval

The distance between 2 times.

Displacement

Difference between the final & initial location.

Velocity

The speed of something in a direction.

Speed

The rate at which something is able to move.

Origin

The point at which both variables in the coordinate system have the value of zero.

Position v. Time graph

Graph used to determine an objects velocity & position as well as where & when 2 objects meet, by plotting the time data on the x axis & the position data on the y axis.
