What is Newton's first law? |
If object A exerts a force on object B then object B exerts an equal and opposite force on object A |
Two forces pushing together producing no movement. |
Newton's First law |
Balanced forces, means no change in velocity. For example, when a bus or anything else is moving at a constant velocity then the forces on it must all be balanced! |
Newton's second law |
If there is an unbalanced force then the object will accelerate in that direction |
The relationship between average speed, distance moved, time taken |
Average speed= Change in velocity÷ time taken |
The relationship between acceleration, change in velocity, time taken |
Acceleration= change in velocity÷ time taken |
The relationship between, resultant force, mass, acceleration |
Resultant force= Mass × acceleration |
