What does an ammeter measure and how? |
Measures the current by counting the number of charges or electrons passing a point per second |
What do the electrons do? |
The electrons collect energy from of the cell as they move around the circuit the electrons drop off energy to some components E.G.the bulb or buzzer |
What does the voltmeter measure? |
The voltmeter counts how much energy the bulb has consumed |
What does this mean: V=IR |
Voltage equals current times resistance |
How is the volt meter connected in a circuit? |
The volt meter is always connected on parallel “the piggy back” |
Whilst increasing voltage you also increase... |
Current |
What is should the ammeters reading be? |
Back (Definition) |
In a parallel circuit the voltage must be… |
Shared |
In a series circuit the voltage must be… |
Equal everywhere e.g, the bulbs/components have the same amount of current |
