What is philosophy

Philosophy is literally the love of wisdom. The systematic critical way in which we judge evaluate and act with the aim of making ourselves more wiser and selfreflecting


Philosophy investigates issues such as what it is to be real , what knowledge is , whether mind or matter are different , what the best way to live is and whether god watches over the world.


We continue to have philosophy because

Unexamined Life

Socrates said the unexamined life was not worth living. In this he means that if we dont think outside the box and about our live than more of what they appear to be what is the use of living.

WHOS VIEW OF SOCRATES WAS MOST ACCURATE

Xenophane, aristophane and plato all had sources of information about socrates. Platos view of socrates is considered the most accurate as he was a student of socrates.

Thinking outside the box

Thinking outside the box is think beyond what your confined to, thinking about the mental and emotional aspect of life rather than just physical

Socrates is considered the father of philosophy because he was one of the first people to examine life for more than what it appeared to be and he was put to death for his philosophical discussions and became the first martyr for philosophy dying for what he believed in .
