The badge of Phi Chi Theta is the symbol of Fraternity. The Ship with sails full blown typifies the purpose of Phi Chi Theta to conquer on sea and land the purpose of business. It represents the Quest of SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT. The Burning Candle represents the light which will guide us on our search to truth, a symbol of learning, understanding, and enlightenment, both material and spiritual. It represents the Quest for HIGHER EDUCATION. The Bend which lies between the two charges, the ship and the candle, symbolizes the aspiration for high ideals in the thought and life; the golden opportunity to glory and honor to myself and others. The Bend symbolizes ASPIRATION. The Scroll represents the standard bearer of Phi Chi Theta’s motto. The motto reads “May the candle of our knowledge guide our ship to ACHIEVEMENT.” |
