Where does Bhangra originate from and who created it? |
From the Punjab region of North India and Pakistan. It was created by punjabi farmers who worked in the land as a way of passing time. |

*More recently women have started to dance bhangra. *Bhangra is danced in groups and commonly done in circles. *Acrobatic stunts are popular. *However, Bhangra done in clubs is individual and improvised. |

What is the dhol?
|
The Dhol is a double-headed, wooden barrelled drum which is head with a strap roung the player's neck. The two drum heads have different tensions and thicknesses, so that one end sounds deeper than the other. |
