What are the substances in Green Tea that seem to be particularly helpful in weight loss |
Green tea catechins (especially EGCG) which are polyphenolic compounds w a contribution of caffeine. Catechins seem to decrease intestinal absorption of food by effecting pancreatic enzymes and altering gut flora while increasing activity of fatty oxidation enzymes. |
