What are Green Papers? |
> Show an intention to change the law, and outlines the format this change could take. > They're published on the internet, and distributed to interested parties. > Open to public comments, and suggestions. |

What are White Papers? |
> Published by Parliament, shows the format the new law will take. > Includes changes as a response to the opinions of the public/interested parties. > There is a further chance for consultation before the final Bill enters Parliament for consideration. |

> Public Bills > Private Members Bills > Private Bills |

What are Public Bills? |
> Involves matters of public policy that will affect the whole country. > Most Government Bills are in this catergory. > Juries Act (1974) + Finance Act (2017) |

What are Private Members Bills? |
> Put foward by individual MPs, the time given for debating them is short, as they're not high on the Gov agenda. > Rarely get through to become law. > Abortion Act (1967) + Marriage Act (1994) |
