Why were the liberal reforms formed?
To improve living and working conditions in Britain.

How effective were the liberal reforms?
I think that they were effective as they helped some people but did not meet there aim as not everyone could claim the new acts in the liberal reforms.
FOR-
FREE SCHOOL MEALS-1914 150,000 children had one good meal a day.

PENSIONS- kept old people out of the work house.

LABOUR EXCHANGES-1914 1million people were being employed through labour exchange.

FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT- saved lives.
AGAINST-
FREE SCHOOL MEALS-not compulsory not every council provided free school meals.

PENSIONS- people who had not worked in there life couldn't claim.

LABOUR EXCHANGE- many of these jobs were only part time and the goverment did not do anything to increase the no. of job vaciances.

FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT- only for the person earning the wage not aviable to wife's or children.
