Alliteration

The repetition of identical or similar consonant sounds.

The use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning.

Jargon

Personification

The projection of characteristics that normally belong only to humans onto objects, animals, or forces of nature.


Ex. Her heart skipped a beat, The sun smiled down on them, The stars winked.

Rhetorical Question

A question that is asked not to get an answer, but instead to emphasize a point.


Ex.Does it look like I care?
