What are the three Planes? What are their axes?
Saggital Plane = Mediolateral Axis
Frontal Plane = Anteriorposterior Axis
Transverse Plane = Longitudinal Axis
What are the movements associated with the saggital plane?
Flexion, extension, hyperextension, hyperflexion.
What are the movements associated with the frontal plane?
Abduction, adduction, lateral flexion.
What are the movements associated with the transverse plane?
Medial (internal) rotation, lateral (external) rotation. Rotation in general.
